The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, located on the top 11 floors of San Francisco's third tallest building, is truly spectacular just like the views of San Francisco seen from almost every vantage point inside the hotel. Views from the hotel include the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge and wonderful cityscapes. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is the only hotel in San Francisco to receive the 2000 Mobil Travel Guide's Five-Star-Award. This award was granted to only 24 properties in North America. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine recently rated the hotel restaurant Silks asMandarin Oriental Aerial View one of the best hotel restaurants in the United States.

Located in San Francisco's Financial District, the Mandarin Oriental is within one mile from Union Square, Chinatown, the Embarcadero, Coit Tower and many other attractions. More importantly, the hotel is located by the California Street Cable Car Line giving each hotel guest easy access to most San Francisco attractions including Nob Hill, Fisherman's Wharf and the Theater District. Pacific Bell Park is about 1 mile away. The Golden Gate Bridge is approximately 3 miles away, while Candlestick/3Com Park and the San Francisco International Airport are both a 20-minute drive. The wineries of Napa Valley are 65 minutes away.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel has 158 rooms located on the 38th -The Mandarin Lounge 48th floors offering spectacular city skyline and San Francisco Bay views. The deluxe king and queen rooms offer 400-square-feet of space while the executive kings have 450-square-feet. The 450-square-foot Bridge-to-Bridge room has a 180-degree panoramic view of San Francisco Bay including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge. The 575-square-foot Mandarin king rooms have floor to ceiling windows in the bathrooms.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Suites

The hotel has 4 luxury suites including the 2,000-square-foot Oriental Suite with 2-bedrooms and the one bedroom 2,000-square-foot Taipan Suite. Both suites are located on the 38th floor. The two 800-square-foot Dynasty Suites are located on the 41st and 46th floors.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Dining and Entertainment

Silks restaurant located on the second floor of the hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. ChefSilks Restaurant Chris Floyd, the son of a U.S. diplomat and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park offers a menu featuring contemporary California cuisine with Asian influences. The restaurant has an extensive wine collection worthy of the most distinguished dignitary. The Mandarin Lounge serves continental breakfast, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

The hotel has an on site state-of-the-art fitness center, a business center and a bookstore. The hotel's meeting rooms include the Embassy Room (1,400-square-feet), the Library (1,100-square-feet), the Boardroom (1,000-square-feet), the Gallery (800-square-feet), and the Club Room (400-square-feet).
